Aysen and I painting the interior window pane in Aysen’s studio. The unpleasant burgundy/brown color was bothering Aysen since she moved in, and finally we got a chance to cover it with white. Took some time-lapse photos of us masking, painting, then finally removing the mask over the course of three days.
Check out the HD version at Vimeo, with information on the equipment used:
Whitening: A time-lapse experiment.

Love it. If you hadn’t said you used an slr you’d have fooled me that it was video. Did you do everything with the just the camera? The motion was great.
Thanks. No video, all photos. The images were high-res though, 3888×2592. That way I was able to add the faux hand-held effect, zooms and pans in post – and still keep the image quality high, even at HD resolution.
Onur, I love it. Leave it up to you to create art from such a menial task! I thought for sure that was video as well. It looks like a great space as well.
hi onur, it’s like a performance piece, with you and aysen, i found this very entertaining!!! xx hanna
Onur, I just watched this again. I love the ending where you sit, have something to eat and admire the hard work. I would do the same thing…. kinda take it all in! A job well done! I showed Karen and she got a real kick out of it too!
